چکیده
The present work aimed to evaluate the bacteria associated with most popular leafy salad vegetables like Coriander, Mint, and Lettuce their antibiotic resistance pattern. Samples were collected from Rayshaheb Bazar, Nazira Shyam Bazar during June-August 2019. maximum bacterial load was found in Coriander minimum Mint. A total of 149 colonies isolated 35 isolates selected for Culture Sensitivity test against 15 common antibiotics Amoxicillin (Ax), Cefixime (CFM), Levofloxacin (Lev), Clarithromycin (CLR), Ceftriaxone (CRO), Neomycin (N), Kanamycin (K), Ciprofloxacin (Cip), Erythromycin (E), Doxycycline (Do), Vancomycin (VA), Cefuroxime (CXM), Chloramphenicol (C), Rifampicin (RA), Gentamycin (CN). Sixteen resistant identification drug Among these isolates, only 2 Gram positive identified as Enterococcus faecalis negative belonged genus Enterobacter (9), Serratia (3), Klebsiella (2).The pattern showed that susceptible Chloramphenicol. (multiple (MAR) inedx ranged between 33.33% 86.67% which is very alarming. Dhaka Univ. J. Biol. Sci. 31(2): 361-369, 2022 (July)

Regulation of chromosomally mediated multiple antibiotic resistance: the mar regulon.
Multidrug resistance in bacteria is generally attributed to the acquisition of multiple transposons and plasmids bearing genetic determinants for different mechanisms of resistance (48, 62). However, descriptions of intrinsic mechanisms that confer multidrug resistance have begun to emerge. The first of these was a chromosomally encoded multiple antibiotic resistance (mar) locus (Fig. 1) in Esc...

متن کاملCharacterization of antibiotic resistance in Salmonella enterica isolates determined from ready-to-eat (RTE) salad vegetables
In the last decade, ready-to-eat (RTE) salad vegetables are gaining increasing importance in human diet. However, since they are consumed fresh, inadequate washing during processing can bring on some foodborne illnesses, like salmonellosis, since these food items have natural contamination from soil and water. During 2009-2010, a total of 81 samples were purchased arbitrarily from local markets...
متن کاملMicrobiological Biosafety, Multiple Drug Resistance and Functional Diversity of Bacteria Associated with the Surfaces of Raw Vegetables
Fresh agricultural produce can harbor pathogenic microorganisms that can cause serious illnesses when transmitted to the human beings after consumption. The frequency of outbreaks from the consumption of contaminated fresh vegetables and fruits has amplified in recent decades (1). True and opportunistic human pathogens have been reported with foodborne outbreaks due to their continuously increa...

To study the putative transfer of antibiotic resistance from broiler breeders to human, hen’s eggs and theirday-old chicks were examined for the presence of bacteria. The most frequently isolated organisms indecreasing order were: Streptococcus spp., Bacillus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Klebsiella spp., Enterobacterspp. and Escherichia coli followed by Citrobacter spp., Proteus spp. and Pseudomo...
